Let AI assistants work with the Revit model open on your computer — and learn, with your team, from every mistake and its fix.
Which doors on Level 02 have no Fire Rating set?
Illustrative session. The assistant works on the model already open in your Revit.
Revit MCP runs inside Revit as an add-in, so the assistant works on the live model with the same API your plugins use.
Categories, elements, types, levels and parameter values, queried in plain language.
Create and change elements, data and geometry in the open model.
Work with families, types and their parameters across the project.
When a request fails and then works, the lesson is shared so the next attempt goes right for the whole team.
There is nothing separate to run. When Revit starts, the add-in starts the MCP server, and your AI assistant connects to it on your PC.
One file, one sign-in, every Revit version on your PC.
Run Install-Revit-MCP.cmd. If Windows asks whether to run it, choose Run (or More info › Run anyway).
It checks your PC and installs Revit MCP for every Revit 2025–2027 on it. No administrator rights needed.
A small window asks you to sign in with Google or GitHub. Click one, enter the code shown in your browser, confirm. You never need to do it again on this PC.
If Revit MCP cannot do something you ask, your AI assistant tells you, and offers to report it to the developer. Missing capabilities are added in new versions, which install themselves.
Request anything in Revit. When no tool covers it, the assistant says so plainly instead of guessing.
It shows you what it would send: what is missing, a full description and your request, without project or client names. Nothing is sent unless you agree.
The developer receives it directly and adds the capability. The next version reaches every PC automatically.
