Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026. Operated by the Revit MCP administrator (contact: shady.hefilla@hotmail.com).
What is collected
- That Revit MCP is in use: when you signed in, when a Revit with Revit MCP was last running on your PC (it reports at start and once an hour), and the Revit and Revit MCP version, and whether the administrator has licensed your account. This shows the administrator who uses Revit MCP and who is active; it is never shown to other users and says nothing about your models.
- Missing-feature reports you agree to send: when Revit MCP cannot do something you asked, your AI assistant may offer to report it. Only if you agree, it sends what is missing, a description, and a summary of your request written without project, client or file names, with your account and the Revit version, so the developer can add it in a next version.
- At sign-in (Google or GitHub): your name, e-mail address and account identifier, so contributions can be
attributed to you and access can be withdrawn. Your password is never seen: you enter it on Google's or GitHub's own page.
- While Revit MCP is used — AI-learning information only: which Revit MCP tool failed, its error message with
names and numbers removed (e.g. Unknown category '…'), which option changed to make it work (generic words only, such
as a Revit category like Walls; everything else is replaced by (text) or (number)), the Revit and Revit MCP
version, advice the AI assistant wrote about using the tools, scripts that someone deliberately saved as reusable recipes, and playbooks (general step-by-step procedures for multi-step jobs, written without project names). Who wrote or used a playbook is never shown to other users.
What is not collected
No model or project information: no model, project, file or view names, no file paths, no element, level, type, sheet or
parameter names or values, no geometry or drawings, no computer name, and none of the scripts the AI runs. This is removed
on your PC before anything is sent, and the service removes it again on arrival.
What it is used for
Only to learn and increase the capabilities of Revit MCP for its users: merging repeated mistakes into lessons and offering known fixes and tips. The data
is not sold, not used for advertising and not shared with anyone else.
Where it is kept
Contributions are stored in a private GitHub repository controlled by the administrator. Sign-in passes are kept by this
service (Cloudflare) only as one-way hashes. Tips shown to other users carry no names.
Your choices
You can use Revit MCP without signing in (nothing is shared). You can sign out at any time
(revit-mcp --logout), and you can ask for your contributions to be removed by writing to
shady.hefilla@hotmail.com.
